Time turns to liquid with age — rushing by with increasing speed each turn of the sun. How come it feels like it is also standing still? I breathe in the faintly mildewed scent of my high school friend’s bathroom from my towel. I stand, dripping with memory in the mirror. A naked body that looks entirely new. How does the fading light bathing my sink in blue feel the same as it did a year ago? Two years ago? A lifetime ago?
